If you want to renew your tableware collection then keep reading.

In the market, there are 4 different categories of tableware, which are: Faience, Stoneware, Bone China and of course Porcelain.

The important characteristics that determine the quality of the tableware are its baking temperature (the higher, the more durable the tableware), its absorbency (tested by using ink), its hardness, gloss, transparency and its resistance to heat shock!

Let's start with porcelain. Porcelain was, is and will remain being the "queen" of tableware. It has a unique quality with glazed and solid mass texture and many special decorative options. If you are looking for tableware that will literally last forever, then it is a one way solution ... Porcelain.

You can see a great variety of porcelain tableware here.

If Bone China impressed you because of its name, we will give you more details!

In the past, these dishes contained animal bone ash in their composition! You read that right, after all, their name "Bone"actually means bone in English.

Today, their composition consists of 60% porcelain and 40% mineral materials that create a translucent element in combination with an off-white shade. This is one of the main features that differentiates them from porcelain.

Of course at Maizona we want to offer you the most unique options, so you will find a variety of Bone China dishes here.

Let's move on to Stoneware. Today, the #trend for decoration at home is #comfort. We want quality, style and adaptability! A perfect tableware that serves from our everyday moments, up to the most formal ones.

At Maizona, we recognize and understand your needs, which is why we provide you with a huge variety of Stoneware tableware in wonderful designs and colors. In fact, the country style dishes are stoneware due to their special texture!

But what are their characteristics?

They have a much better quality than Faience since they are baked at 1200°C.

Their texture is semi-glazed, they are harder to scratch and they have a greater resistance to heat shock 200°C.

Discover your favorite tableware here.

Faience, which you will not find available at Maizona because of its poor quality, is the least durable material with a granular mass texture. It is very easy to scratch, while the liquids are absorbed and diffused. If you are looking for tableware with resilience, then it would be better to erase them from your list…
